I am a passionate believer in Educational Equity. I believe that this is the issue that will define us as a generation. As the demographics of our entire country shift dramatically in the next three decades this is moment when we must take a stand against inequity in our under-served and under-resourced schools. We can no longer sustain a system where affluent school districts continue to be funded at higher per-student levels than our poorest districts. The future of our great nation depends on our ability to open the doors of opportunity to all students regardless of their race, religion, social-class or immigration status. This has become the focus of my work and drives me every day to talk about these issues and to connect with all stakeholders to help shape the discussion as to how make a change.
